8-Mic Set

The Avantone CDMK-8 is an 8-mic kit designed for miking an entire drum kit. It is basically the CDMK-7, plus an additional CK-1 condenser for hi-hat:

• One MONDO for kick drum
• One ADM for snare drum
• Three ATOMs for toms
• Two CK-1 condensers for overheads (Cardioid capsules)
• One CK-1 condenser (hypercardioid) for hi-hat

The kit ships in Avantone’s trademark tweed suitcase, with four PK-1 Pro Klamp rim mounts and seven SSM shockmounts. The foam piece has additional punch-outs to hold more CK-1 capsules, should the owner expand the kit.
