Shure PG58
Cardioid Dynamic Microphone
The PG58 is an entry-level dynamic vocal mic, styled much like the SM58.
Like most stage dynamic microphones, the PG58 has a high max SPL rating. The mic produces a Cardioid pickup pattern.
The rare-earth Neodymium magnet in the moving-coil cartridge gives the mic higher output levels (sensitivity 2.2 mV/Pa) than many comparable mics, including the SM58 (1.85 mV/Pa).
The moving-coil cartridge is shockmounted to reduce handling noise.
The mic has an on/off switch.
The mic is available with three choices of accessories:
- PG58-QTR - Includes 15' (4.57m) XLR-to-1/4'' audio cable, mic clip, european mic stand thread adapter, and a storage pouch
- PG58-XLR - As above, with standard XLR cable in place of the 1/4'' cable
- PG58-LC - includes mic clip, thread adapter, and storage pouch (no cable)
