Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone

The AT4050/LE is one of two limited-edition versions of the company’s popular AT4050 multipattern condenser. It differs from the standard version only cosmetically: a metallic silver finish with blue accents, an etched serial number, and a wooden case.

See also the AT4050 URUSHI.

Like the original AT4050, the LE is based on a transformerless output circuit and a medium-diaphragm capsule. The dual 21.4mm diaphragms are made of 2-micron plastic film, metallized with gold.

A switch on the microphone body provides access to three polar patterns: cardioid, omni, bidirectional. Additional switches enable a pad (-10dB) and a high-pass filter (-12dB/octave @ 80Hz).

AT4050URUSHIThe LE ships with a wooden case, a dust cover, and an elastic shockmount (p/n AT8449).

The Audio-Technica AT4050/LE is also known as: AT4050LE.

The mic was released in 2012.
