Cardioid Condenser Microphone

The AE5400/LE is a special 50th Anniversary edition of the AE5400 handheld condenser.

The AE5400 and AE5400/LE use the same capsule as the AT4050; it has a 21.4mm diaphragm made of 2-micron plastic film, metallized with gold.

Unlike the AT4050, the AE5400 models use an output transformer.

Two switches on the AE5400 provide access to a high-pass filter (80Hz) and a -10dB pad.

The AE5400/LE features a silver metallic finish with blue accents, etched serial number and comes in a wooden case. These are the only differences from the standard AE5400.
