Shotgun Condenser Microphone

The MKH 70 is a lightweight long shotgun microphone. The mic uses Sennheiser’s RF Condenser technology, which gives it very high sensitivity with low self-noise, as well as resistance to environmental conditions such as humidity.

The mic has 3 switches on the body: a -10dB pad, a low-frequency roll-off, and high-frequency emphasis. The latter is a high shelf compensation for treble loss with distant miking.

The MKH 70 is the only long-shotgun in the X0 line, and is similar to the newer MKH 8070. The 8070 has an extended frequency response, and is modular.

The Sennheiser Electronics Corporation MKH 70 is also known as: MKH70.
