Sennheiser Electronics Corporation ME 67
Supercardioid Condenser Microphone
Sennheiser’s ME 67 is a long shotgun capsule head for the K6 series of head amplifiers. Its sibling, the ME 66, is a shorter shotgun style.
Model | Length |
ME 66 | 221mm |
ME 67 | 343mm |
The “K6” product series includes two power modules, one of which is required for use with any of the compatible ME 60-series capsule heads.
The ME 67 capsule head has very high sensitivity at 50 mV/Pa, and remarkably low self-noise for a small-diaphragm design — just 10dBA.
Its frequency response is flat from 200Hz–3kHz. Above that point, it has a broad, +4dB presence boost centered at 9kHz. Its -3dB points are 40Hz and ~16kHz.
This is generally a fuller, flatter response than the shorter shotgun model (ME 66), which rolls off below 500Hz (-3dB @ 150Hz).
Both models are generally supercardioid below 1kHz, and progressively more directional (lobar) at higher frequencies.
The Sennheiser Electronics Corporation ME 67 is also known as: ME 67.
