RØDE NTG-2
Shotgun Condenser Microphone
The NTG-2 adds an onboard battery compartment (1.5V AA) to the basic shotgun-mic design of the NTG-1. The two mics are otherwise identical; both can be phantom-powered (and the NTG-1 requires it).
The capsule is the same as in the VideoMic, although both the NTG-1 and NTG-2 are more directional.
Rode claims that a single AA battery will power the NTG-2 for 500 hours.
The NTG-2 is made of aluminum. It ships with a mount and foam windshield. Additional accessories are available, including the “Dead Cat” fur wind cover.
The RØDE NTG-2 is also known as: NTG2.
