Oktava MK-220
Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
The MK-220 is a large-diaphragm, multipattern FET condenser microphone based on Oktava’s popular MK-319.
It shares the domed headbasket design of the MK-319, the 28mm diaphragm with perforated “resonator disc,” the -10dB pad and high-pass filter. The transformer in both mics is identical.
The MK-220 differs in that the capsule has dual diaphragms, and the mic has a rotary pattern-selection switch that allows selection of Cardioid, Omni, or Bidirectional pickup patterns.
Like the MK-219 (which shares the MK-319’s 28mm single-sided capsule) and MK-319, the MK-220 is likely an excellent candidate for mods, because the capsule is generally considered to be good, if dark sounding, and the stock transformer is as well.

The mic was released in 2005.
