Nevaton MC440
Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
The MC440 is a fixed-pattern large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone. It can be ordered with any one of these four patterns: cardioid, wide cardioid, figure-of-8, omni.
The capsule is a dual-diaphragm, 33mm diameter design. The multipattern version of this microphone is the MC416.
In both mics, the transducer assembly is shockmounted within the mic’s headbasket to reduce environmental and handling noise.
Like most of Nevaton’s condenser mics, the MC440 uses a transformerless Class A amplifier circuit.
The mic ships in a padded hardwood box.
All Nevaton microphones are manufactured in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The Nevaton MC440 is also known as: MK440.
The mic was released in 2004.
