Nady News

Nady Systems, founded by John Nady in 1976, is an innovator in audio electronics. The company’s patent for noise reduction in wireless audio transmission gave Nady a market-leading position in wireless microphone systems.

Nady is also widely credited with having developed the world’s first In-ear Monitor system (1978), as well as the first PLL synthesized UHF wireless, the UHF-950 (1991).

Since the early 1980’s, Nady has been expanding its line beyond wireless microphones. Early expansion included motorcycle communicators, two-way transceivers, assistive listening devices, telephone headsets, wired microphones and audio accessories for video and camcorder systems. In 1999, Nady launched their professional audio line of affordable audio gear: mixers, amplifiers, crossovers, EQ’s, pro rack gear, consoles, speakers, headphones, studio mics and drum, instrument, and specialty microphones.

John Nady is also responsible for the recent influx of inexpensive microphones from China, having initially contracted with Alctron to OEM a line of ribbon microphones; see Lynn Fuston’s Chinese Connection story and John Nady’s response.
