The Karma Unity and Trinity employ K67-type capsules, whose bright frequency response can be easily revoiced by swapping in an RK-47, a true single-backplate 34mm condenser capsule modeled after Neumann’s famed K-47.

Cardioid Condenser Microphone

The Karma Unity is a large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone with a fixed Cardioid pickup pattern.

Unity CapsuleIts capsule is a single-sided copy of the Neumann K67, with a center-terminated diaphragm. The capsule is shockmounted in an oversized headbasket with what appears to be a 2-layer metal mesh grille.

The domed face of the grille reduces the possibility of standing waves inside the headbasket.

Two switches at the top of the body enable individual selection of a -10dB pad or a high-pass filter (slope and corner frequency not specified).

The Unity ships in a padded flight case with an elastic shockmount.

The mic was released in 2011.
