Joemeek JM37
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The Joe Meek JM37 is a large diaphragm, side-address, FET condenser with a fixed Cardioid polar pattern.
The capsule is described a “concentric electrode” design, which likely means “center terminated.” We assume this is a K67 clone from China. The diaphragm is specified as Gold-sputtered Mylar, 26mm in diameter.
The output circuit is transformerless. The mic body is machined brass.
The mic’s self-noise rating of 19dBA is high for modern FET microphones; this mic is likely unsatisfactory for recording spoken word, voiceover, or quiet acoustic instruments.
A dual pattern JM37-DP is also available.

The mic was released in 2005.
