Earthworks Audio M50
Omnidirectional Pencil Condenser Microphone
The M50 is Earthworks’ flagship measurement mic. Like all the company’s omnidirectional mics, it uses a 6mm electret condenser capsule, selected and tuned to produce an extended frequency response. The mic is intended for high resolution acoustic measurement and testing applications.
The mic’s published frequency response is linear from 6Hz to 50kHz (although the measurement distance is not specified).
Like all Earthworks mics, the M50 uses a transformerless output circuit.
Earthworks M-series mics are made in USA, and carry a 15-year warranty. As of 2012, the company’s measurement mics can be supplied with electronic calibration data.
