Earthworks Audio M23
Omnidirectional Pencil Condenser Microphone
The M23 is a calibrated omnidirectional condenser intended for acoustic measurement and testing applications.
The M23 uses a 6mm electret capsule, tuned to produce a flat frequency response from 9 Hz–23kHz. The mic has a high sensitivity of 30 mV/Pa, and as is characteristic of these electret capsules, relatively high self-noise of 22dBA.
The M23 is a similar design to the M30, but has a shorter body and a lower high-frequency rolloff (23kHz vs. 30kHz).
As of 2012, Earthworks measurement microphones include electronic calibration data (available via download upon product registration).
