Cascade Microphones M39
Cardioid Pencil Condenser Microphone
The M39 is a low-cost medium-diaphragm (22mm) “pencil” condenser with a true condenser capsule. It is the successor to the M37, which is no longer in production.
The pickup pattern is cardioid. The stock cardioid capsules are detachable, but Cascade does not offer alternative capsules at this time.
Onboard switches provide access to a -10dB pad and a high-pass filter (cutoff frequency not specified).
The Cascade M39 ships as a stereo pair, in either anodized silver or black. Included with the set are two mic clips and a microfiber cleaning cloth in a foam-lined plastic storage case. Available separately:
- Spider shockmount ($39 each)
- Basket shockmount ($19 each)
The M39 is optionally bundled with the V57 transformerless LDC.
The Cascade Microphones M39 is also known as: M-39.
