Cardioid Pencil Condenser Microphone
The TG I53c is a Cardioid pencil microphone with an electret capsule.
Its published frequency response graph shows a broad presence boost from 2kHz–20kHz, peaking at +7dB @ 10kHz. The boost is created by two “treble resonators” within the microphone.
The low frequencies begin rolling off below 200Hz; the -3dB point is at 75Hz.
The mic’s self-noise is relatively high at 23dBA.
The mic’s compact housing (100mm x 20mm) is reinforced with carbon fiber.
