TNC Audio ACM-900
Bidirectional Ribbon Microphone
The ACM-900 is an active ribbon microphone with a tube amplifier/impedance conversion circuit. It was sold only as part of a “group buy” of low-cost microphones in 2007.
The circuit incorporates two transformers, the first of which presumably provides significant step-up gain. Both transformers are mounted in metal cans on the PCB.
The tube is a 6J1 subminiature pentode.
The mic included an elastic shockmount, power supply, cables, and a padded aluminum flightcase.
