Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The CMH8G is a 9-pattern large-diaphragm vacuum tube condenser.
The capsule is a K67 derivative, likely with a 32mm outside diameter. The diaphragms are made of 3-micron Mylar.
The mic has a transformer-coupled output. The tube model is not specified.
The mic’s self-noise is excellent for a large-diaphragm tube mic, at 14dBA in Cardioid (18dBA Omni/Figure 8).
The CMH8G ships with its power supply, cables, shockmount, hard mount, and foam windscreen in a padded flightcase.
The Superlux CMH8G is also known as: CM-H8G.
The mic was released in 2004.
