Omnidirectional Tube Condenser Microphone
The SYT9000 is a bottle-style multipattern tube condenser microphone. It was never sold in the US commercially, but is reportedly the source of lookalike microphones sold under other names.
A pattern switch on the front of the microphone body allows selection of Cardioid, Omni, or Figure-8 patterns.
The Class-A amplifier circuit is based on the 6J1B subminiature pentode (a tube more commonly found in small-diaphragm “pencil” microphones).
Additional details about this mic are forthcoming (and hopefully a nicer photo too).
