Sennheiser Electronics Corporation MKH 8020
Omnidirectional Pencil Condenser Microphone
The MKH 8020 is part of Sennheiser’s modular 8000 series. This mic is a short omnidirectional pencil condenser, one of three in the 8000 series (see also 8040 cardioid and 8050 supercardioid modules).
The MKH 8020 is sold as a complete microphone, as a stereo set, or just as the head module (MKHC 8020).
The 8020 frequency response is nominally flat from 10–20kHz. On-axis pickup extends to 70kHz. Off-axis pickup tapers in response above 3kHz.
The 8020 is an RF condenser design, with high sensitivity, low noise, extended bandwidth and excellent weather resistance. The mic is transformerless with a fully floating balanced output.
The MKH 8020 consists of:
- MKHC 8020 microphone head
- MZX 8000 XLR module
- MZQ 8000 microphone clip
- MZW 8000 windshield
The Sennheiser Electronics Corporation MKH 8020 is also known as: MKH8020.
