Milab Microphones LSR-1000
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The LSR-1000 is a second-generation handheld condenser microphone, designed for onstage use. It introduced Milab’s “Live Sound Reinforcement” series in the early 2000s, and is still made today.
The mic uses a shockmounted electret condenser element, and is said to be insensitive to mechanical noise.
It differs from its predecessor, the LC-25, in several ways:
- Lower phantom-power requirement: minimum 12V
- Slightly higher self-noise (21dBA vs. 20dBA)
- Slightly higher max SPL (132dB vs. 128dB)
The electret capsule in these two mics is the same.
It ships with a foam windscreen and a standard mic clip. A shockmount clip (Milab p/n 3227) is available separately.
