Lewitt Audio MTP 540 DM
Cardioid Dynamic Microphone
The MTP 540 DM is Lewitt’s flagship dynamic vocal microphone, intended for applications in the studio, on stage, or in the broadcast industry. It has a fixed Cardioid pickup pattern.
The mic’s frequency response is nominally flat from 100Hz to 1kHz, with a smooth +5dB presence peak at 3–4kHz. The high-frequency response drops rapidly above 15kHz.
The dynamic (moving-coil) capsule is elastically shockmounted within the body, to reduce handling noise.
The mic uses an output transformer.
Two versions of the microphone are available:
- MTP 540 DM - no switch
- MTP 540 DMs - Includes on/off switch on mic body
Both versions are packaged identically: the mics ship in a padded cardboard box, with a mic clip (Lewitt p/n MTP 40 MCs) and a leather storage pouch (p/n DTP 40 Lb).
The 540 DM and DMs are covered by a 5-year warranty.
The Lewitt Audio MTP 540 DM is also known as: MTP 540 DMS.
The mic was released in 2010.
