Golden Age Project TC-1
Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The GAP TC-1 is a large diaphragm, multipattern, vacuum tube condenser microphone.
The mic uses a 6072/12AT7 tube in class-A circuit with what GAP describes as “vintage style” EQ and a transformer-coupled output.
The mic’s capsule is believed to be a 32mm OD, 26mm diaphragm design with 3-micron membranes. It is most likely the standard Chinese-made 32mm K67 capsule found in most inexpensive imported condensers.
Switches on the body enable optional high-pass filter and -10dB pad.
A 9-way rotary control on the external power supply allows selection of Omni, Cardioid, Figure-8, or any of 6 intermediate patterns.
The Golden Age Project TC-1 is also known as: TC1.
