Electro-Voice RE410
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The RE410 is a handheld electret condenser mic intended for live (stage) vocal reproduction. It has a Cardioid pickup pattern, and is therefore more susceptible to feedback than would a comparable mic with a super- or hypercardioid pattern.
The frequency response curve shows a rolloff below 300Hz, mirroring a strong proximity effect (measured at 1cm) of +10dB at 100Hz. The mic has a presence peak (+5dB) around 10kHz, which EV describes as adding “air” without stridency.
The mic ships with a mic clip and a storage pouch.
