Electro-Voice Co5
Cardioid Dynamic Microphone
The Cobalt Co5 was a handheld dynamic “ball mic” intended for stage vocal usage. It uses a Neodymium magnet within its moving-coil cartridge.
It is more sensitive than the Shure SM58 (2.8 mV/Pa vs. 1.8 mV/Pa), due to the Neodymium magnet.
The Co5 boasts a smoother frequency response than the SM58. Both mics have an aggressive presence peak.
It shipped with a mic clip and a gig bag.
