CharterOak Acoustic Devices H1000A
Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The H1000 is the new flagship vacuum tube condenser from CharterOak. The mic is intended specifically for vocals.
The large mic body was necessary to accommodate the large high-voltage capacitors and Lundahl output transformer.
The vacuum tube is a JJ ECC83 dual triode which is standard for all CharterOak microphones. The power supply is modified to run the mic at a higher voltage than most tube mics, greatly increasing headroom.
The dual-diaphragm capsule is the 1.07-inch S1 model, also used in the SA538.
The mic body and grille use special powder coating from 3M for acoustic damping.
The CharterOak Acoustic Devices H1000A is also known as: H1000.
The mic was released in 2011.
