Audio-Technica AT2020USB+
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The AT2020USB+ is an enhanced version of the AT2020USB. While sharing the same capsule, circuit, and sonic profile, it offers these additional features:
- Maximum sample rate of 48kHz (vs. 44.1 for the AT2020USB).
- Onboard headphone jack for zero-latency monitoring.
- Rotary “mix” control to control relative volumes of playback tracks vs. microphone audio source.
- Rotary headphone volume control.
According to Audio-Technica, either could be used for podcasting. The USB+ version offers the additional capability of monitoring during multitrack recording, directly through the microphone’s headphone jack, making it suitable for home studio music production too.
The AT2020USB+ has a blue LED inside the grille to indicate a successful USB connection. It draws 5V DC from the USB host.
As with the namesake AT2020, the USB and USB+ versions use a back-electret, prepolarized capsule with an approximate diaphragm diameter of 16mm.
The AT2020USB+ ships with a desktop tripod mic stand, a stand adapter, a 10-foot USB cable, and a storage pouch.
