Advanced Audio Microphones CM-47 fet
Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
The CM-47 fet is a dual-pattern FET condenser named for the Neumann U47 FET.
Unlike its namesake, the CM-47 fet uses a K67 capsule with high-frequency deemphasis circuitry. This makes the mic somewhat more like the U87 than the Fet 47.
Advanced Audio sells an enhanced version of the mic, called the CM-47/CE, that uses a K47-type capsule called the AK-47. It is a 32mm OD design, with a single brass backplate and the K47’s characteristic drilling pattern.
The Class-A FET amplifier circuit in both the CM-47 and CM-47/CE is coupled into a transformer balanced output.
The mic pattern is switchable, from Cardioid to Omnidirectional.
Two other switches on the mic body optionally engage a -10dB pad and a 100Hz low-frequency rolloff.
The mic ships with an elastic shockmount and an aluminum flightcase.
The Advanced Audio Microphones CM-47 fet is also known as: CM-47 FET.
