Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The Opus 82 is a miniature electret condenser mic designed for miking brass instruments such as trumpet, trombone and saxophone. The mic capsule is mounted on a short, flexible gooseneck with a clip for attachment to the bell of the horn.
The mic has a fixed Cardioid pickup pattern, which becomes slightly less directional below 125Hz and above 4kHz.
There are two versions of the mic available:
- Opus 82 - with 3.5mm mini jack output, intended for use with beltpack transmitters
- Opus 82 Set - with separate power supply (model CVU 82) and 3-pin XLRM output
The beyerdynamic Opus 82 is also known as: Opus 82 Set.
