TNC Audio ACM-100
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The ACM-100 is a large-diaphragm FET condenser in a “lollipop” form factor. The mic was manufactured in China and sold as part of the TnC “Group Buy” of microphones and preamps in 2007.
The mic used a large-diaphragm, center-terminated capsule that is a copy of the Neumann K67. The rear diaphragm was not sputtered, nor wired into the circuitry. The mic has a fixed Cardioid pickup pattern.
The amplifier circuit is transformerless, and uses through-hole components.
