Superlux R102
Bidirectional Active Ribbon Microphone
The Superlux R102 is an active ribbon microphone. It has active elecronics powering the impedance conversion/amplifier circuit, and requires +48VDC. Its sensitivity, at 10mV/Pa, is typical for a condenser microphone. Its self-noise, at 18mV/Pa, is a bit high for a modern condenser microphone.
The ribbon motor assembly is shockmounted within the mic body by four elastic bands. This design likely helps prevent the pickup of mechanical noise.
Its published frequency response is nominally flat to 5kHz, with highs rolled off steeply beyond 6kHz.
The R102MKII has improved HF response and gold grille.
The mic attaches to a stand with included U-Bracket mount. It ships with a plastic carrying case, a 6M cable, U-bracket mount.
