Shinybox is a one-man custom microphone shop in Washington State. Proprietor Jon Ulrigg purchases ribbon-mic parts from Chinese OEM Alctron and hand-assembles them, turning out mics that garner great reviews and which avoid all the problems of their look-alike Chinese brethren (such as ribbon sag).
