Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The 1000a is sE’s entry-level cardioid FET condenser mic.
It looks like a large-diaphragm mic, but has a half-inch capsule said to be tuned to sound fuller in the low end. The published frequency response chart shows a -3dB point at 20Hz, and a flat response from 50Hz to 5kHz. There is a +2dB peak centered at 10-12k.
The mic was discontinued in 2010.
