Naiant X-T/D
Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone
The X-T/D is a compact omnidirectional electret condenser, intended for loud, close-miked sources such as drums, percussion, and amplifiers.
The capsule is a 10mm electret model, which we believe is similar to the one in Naiant’s X-D omni. The primary difference we have identified between the X-D and X-T/D is the output circuit: The X-D was transformerless, whereas the X-T/D has an output transformer.
The mic’s low sensitivity (~1.5mV/Pa) and high self-noise (26dBA) make it unsuitable for distant miking or quiet acoustic sources. For its recommended applications — close-miked loud sources — the low sensitivity is a benefit, and the self-noise is unlikely to be an issue.
The X-T/D includes a mic clip.
All Naiant microphones are made by hand in the US, and have a 10-day trial period/return policy.
