Mojave Audio MA-37
Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
The MA-37 is a large-diaphragm tube condenser with a mechanically adjustable single-diaphragm capsule based on the Sony C-37A — in which a control on the back of the microphone grille adjusts the vent size on an acoustic chamber behind the capsule, providing Omni and Cardioid polar patterns.
The mic’s circuit uses a pentode vacuum tube, cited as either EF86 or EF806. The output transformer is provided by Lundahl.
The included power supply includes a 3-way high-pass filter switch; the two filter modes have -6dB points at either 50 Hz (“V1”) or 100 Hz (“V2”).
