Miktek C5
Detachable-Capsule Pencil Condenser Microphone
The C5 is a FET condenser mic in a pencil-microphone form factor. Perhaps the most unique thing about it is the oversized output transformer from AMI/Tab-Funkenwerk.
The included cardioid capsule has a half-inch diaphragm made of 5-micron Mylar, metallized with gold. The capsules are manufactured in China to Miktek’s specifications.
The cardioid capsule can be detached, but no alternative capsules are available as of early 2010. An omnidirectional capsule is in development.
The C5 ships singly, packed in a presentation box with a mic clip, or in matched pairs. The stereo kit includes a stereo bar, shockmounts, and windscreens.
We will add more specifications to this profile when they are released by the manufacturer.
