MicW n241
Omnidirectional Pencil Condenser Microphone
The MicW N241 is an omnidirectional condenser microphone designed for reference and measurement applications. It uses a half-inch (12.7mm) nickel-diaphragm capsule.
Like all MicW microphones, the amplifier circuit is transformerless.
The n241 is conceptually similar to Earthworks’ QTC40. Both are omni condensers with extended high-frequency response — to 40kHz. The QTC40 has a flatter response, lower self-noise (22dBA vs. 30 dBA), and much higher sensitivity (30mV/Pa vs. 8 mV/Pa).
The mic ships in a padded black plastic case with a user manual, a 50mm spherical foam windscreen (p/n WS052), and an elastic shockmount (p/n PP290).
