MicW e216
Omnidirectional Pencil Condenser Microphone
The Mic-W e216 is a small diaphragm omnidirectional microphone, from Mic-W’s entry level E-series line.
The e216 uses a 1/2'' electret capsule. The diaphragm material is gold-coated Mylar. According to MicW, the capsule’s housing is made of copper.
The capsule is detachable. Although the e216 uses the same head amplifier and body as the n201, MicW does not sell individual capsules (which would enable e216 owners to upgrade to the n201).
The mic’s frequency response is flat to 2kHz. A wide 6dB boost centered at 5500Hz falls to -4dB at 20kHz.
See the n201 profile for a listing of accessories that can be used with the e216.
