The MXL V76t is tube microphone with a warm up front transparent midrange to emphasize voices and instruments. Housed in a silver metal casing with chrome grill, the V76t comes complete with hi-isolation shock mount, power supply, 7 pin power cable, windscreen and carrying case. Only 7.5'' long and with a center diameter of only 1/78'', the V76t is one of the smallest tube mics available. The V76t is the perfect entry level tube microphone.

It’s definitely hyped in the high mids and adds character to the vocals, but its mid-range presence seemed tinny on the acoustic. And the mic just did not translate the low end effectively at all on the piano.
