Description
The 990-Stereo is an XY-stereo microphone built into the case of the MXL 990 microphone. The preamp circuitry is the same in both mics, although the stereo version has two of everything.
The 22mm-diameter capsules in the stereo microphone each have a 20mm, gold-sputtered diaphragm. Each has a dedicated Class A transformerless preamp. The mic has a 5-pin XLR jack, and is supplied with a breakout cable providing two 3-pin XLR outputs.
