Stereo Mic Set

The “Michael Wagener Kit” is a two-mic set created for producer Michael Wagener. It consists of one BT-201 small-diaphragm condenser and one BT-301 medium-diaphragm condenser.

I tried the BT-201 / 301 combination on acoustic guitar and it was the best sound I’ve heard from any new mic.

A video published by JZ shows the BT-301 about 10 inches away from the guitar, pointed at neck/body joint, and the BT-201 about one foot to the right, pointed down the neck at the sound hole.

Wagener also uses this mic combination as a drum overhead pair, with the BT-301 on ride cymbal and BT-201 on hi-hat.
