Horch Audio
Horch Audio was founded by German audio engineer and studio owner Gibbs Platen, with a goal of producing a contemporary version of the Neumann M 49. The company’s first microphone, launched in 2001, was handbuilt with a Telefunken AC701 tube and large-diaphragm capsule.
The company has since introduced a few new models, each based on another vintage microphone. All Horch products are still handbuilt, using parts sourced entirely from Germany.
