Heil Sound Fin
Cardioid Dynamic Microphone
The Fin is a phantom powered dynamic microphone with retro styling.
The capsule uses a 1 1/8'' aluminum low mass voice coil similar to the PR 20.
The steel body is copper plated, then double chrome plated. The mic “head” angle is adjustable. The mic body is threaded for attachment to a mic stand, and contains the XLR output jack.
A brightly colored (blue, red or white) foam windscreen is illuminated by 4 LEDs inside. +48V is required to power the LED only.
The Fin was used as a prop in the 2012 film The Hunger Games (“May the odds be ever in your favor!”).
