Carvin Corporation CTM100
Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The Carvin CTM100 is an Alctron HST-11a, manufactured in China and available in the US and Europe under numerous brand names.
It is a 9-pattern tube mic with included power supply and shockmount. As do all the rebadged HST-11a mics, the CTM100 responds well to modification; search the web for “Apex 460 mod” to find relevant message-board discussions, or see our Apex 460 page for a starter list of common mods.
Because Carvin has not supplied frequency-response graphs for the CMT100, the graphs below are from the HST-11A.
