Avantone Pro ADM
Cardioid Dynamic Microphone
Avant’s ADM is a dynamic microphone with a built-in metal mic clip. It was designed for snare drum and the Shure SM57’s other typical duties, such as percussion and guitar cabinet.
Built of diecast zinc, it is presented as rugged enough for stage or studio use.
The mic’s frequency response shows an extended low end as compared to the SM57, which rolls off below 100Hz. The ADM is relatively flat down to 70Hz. On the high end, the SM57’s famous “honk” is expressed as a +5dB peak from 5k-7k. The ADM’s peak passes +10dB, beginning around 2500Hz with a smoother profile out to 9kHz, then falling to a -3dB point around 11kHz.
The ADM ships with Avant’s “Pro-Klamp” rim mount in a padded plastic carrying case.
