7-Mic Set

The FP7 is a 7-piece drum mic package with aluminum case and mounts. It includes:

• One f6 for kick drum
• One f5 dynamic for snare
• Three f2 dynamics for toms
• Two f9 cardioid electret condenser for overheads

Rim clamps for the snare and tom mics are not included.

My overall impression about these new Fusion Series drums mics is overwhelmingly positive. The f6/f5/f2 dynamics share many of the performance characteristics of Audix”s high-end D4/D6/i5 drum mics at about half the cost.

If nothing else, Audix’s revamped Fusion series makes a good case that the experience and creativity of the designer, along with the skill and care of the assembly personnel, are more important than the exact geographic location of where the individual components are manufactured.
