5-Mic Set

The Audix FP5 is a set of 5 drum mics in aluminum carry case with hardmounts.

Included mics:

• One f6 for kick drum
• One f5 for snare drum
• Three f2 for toms

Note: rim clamps are not included.

My overall impression about these new Fusion Series drums mics is overwhelmingly positive. The f6/f5/f2 dynamics share many of the performance characteristics of Audix”s high-end D4/D6/i5 drum mics at about half the cost.

If nothing else, Audix’s revamped Fusion series makes a good case that the experience and creativity of the designer, along with the skill and care of the assembly personnel, are more important than the exact geographic location of where the individual components are manufactured.
