Audix F90
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The Audix F90 is a miniature condenser microphone with a gooseneck mount and drum rim clamp. It is part of the Audix Fusion Series, and is intended for drums, percussion, and brass.
The F90 has relatively high self-noise (29dB A-weighted)and low sensitivity (8.8mV/Pa) compared with other condensers. However, at its intended placement 2-3 inches away from loud sources (such as drums), the self-noise is unlikely to create problems.
The microphone itself is built into a 15mmx30mm brass tube. The condenser capsule has a diameter of approximately 10-12mm, and is believed to be an electret condenser due to the microphones low minimum power requirement of 9V.
A 6ft cable is attached, terminating in a mini-XLR-f connector. The cable attaches to included APS90 phantom power adapter for 9-52V operation and connection to external preamp/mixer/recorder etc.
The Audix F90 is also known as: F-90.
