Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The Aseyer D36B is a large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone with a transformer-coupled output circuit.
The capsule is Aseyer’s proprietary large-diaphragm design. It is an edge-terminated, 36mm-diameter capsule with a single diaphragm made of 4-micron aluminum foil. It was designed to withstand the effects of humidity without compromising the mic’s performance.
The published frequency-response graph is nominally flat from 40Hz to 1kHz, with a broad and flat presence rise peaking at +4dB from 5–11kHz.
The polar graph shows only a single trace. The mic’s pickup pattern at this frequency (presumably 1kHz) is a slightly narrow Cardioid.
The mic’s circuit is a simple design, using only about a dozen components (including the large output transformer).

The mic was released in 2010.
