Bidirectional Ribbon Microphone
Description
The HRM-15 is a lollipop-style ribbon microphone, with a 35x5mm, 2.5-micron aluminum ribbon in a symmetrical position. This yields an even bidirectional response, ideal for the ‘S’ channel in Mid-Side recordings.
Like all Alctron mics, the HRM-15 is rarely seen on the market, although its various “rebadged” equivalents are commonplace. See the Nady RSM-4 and Cascade Fathead.
The mic ships in a padded wooden box with a shockmount.
